why did sutter not go to arbitration? does that mean that there is a multi year deal that is close? or any rumors that the pens will trade him since his # is now 2.7M?

He reminds me a lot of Dupuis, at the tail end of last year he was a very effective forechecker. He never found his place in Vancouver, they signed him to a stupid contract and the pressure to produce more than he is probably able got to him I think. I am very fond of the idea of he and dupuis on the third line.

1.5 for this year would be a steal IMO

Bring him in on a cheap deal. Sell him on the chance to revive his career. He was great with Florida. I didn't see much of him with the Nucks.

At a very low cap hit it wouldn't be bad. Move him with Sid and move dupes down, and f it doesn't work, just move booth back down or try him with Malkin. Can we give him a 1/2 year contract?

I do find it odd that he didn't file yet he still isn't signed. Hopefully a deal for a top six and we sign booth! Hazaaa!

Hey, Georges Laraque is making a comeback...put him with Sid and move Dupes to the third line. If it doesn't work, move Georges to the third line and sit Dupes in the pressbox.

Well I think we all know Dupes is starting the year with Sid, and that may be the best thing that line was awesome up until the injury. I just think that Dupuis is the perfect 3rd line player, would love another 2 Pascal Dupuis on this team.

Meh. Injury prone 3rd liner at best at this point of his career. Not a PK player either. There's a few of those guys still floating around as UFA's that are more durable.

Forgot about Booth after his injury from Richards. Never heard from again. I wish him well, no idea what he can bring to the table.

On the cheap he could be a good signing. I just worry about how many swing line players we have. Very few legit top six players with more 3rd line guys with 2nd line potential.
Actually, as I say that it is still better than what we have dealt with in the past. I guess I shouldn't complain too much about the signings until I see Sutter's deal.
